The photographic object is a keepsake of human experience and as such embodies the duality that makes up our daily lives. It serves as a reminder of what we have lost while simultaneously giving physical form to the moments and memories that we are trying to preserve.
Simple objects that speak the language of alchemy.
In this body of work, I physically alter each photographic object as a means to show reverence and respect for these moments in the lives of strangers. I pass them on to others as totems to all that is both ordinary and extraordinary in our lives.
